Question 1

Do friends and family need an account?

Accepted Answer

A public gallery can be previewed from the link. Opening the photos means signing in. A private gallery needs an invite, and they accept it from that account.

Question 2

Can I try PixelShare before paying?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Free plan is 1 GB of storage, with unlimited galleries and full-resolution photos and video. No credit card required.

Question 3

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes! There's no lock-in or long-term contracts. Cancel anytime from your dashboard. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your billing period, then your account reverts to the Free plan.

Question 4

What happens if I go over my storage limit?

Accepted Answer

You can upgrade, or delete galleries to free space. Deliver does not move storage off your account. The copy lives with the person who accepts it, and your original stays in your storage.

Question 5

Do you offer annual billing?

Accepted Answer

Annual billing with a discount is coming soon. Currently, all plans are billed monthly. Sign up for updates and we'll let you know when annual billing is available.

Question 6

What does Deliver do on the Pro plan?

Accepted Answer

Deliver is a Pro action. You send someone a copy of a gallery. They get an email and a request in Activity. When they accept, the copy is theirs. Your original gallery stays on your account. Pro includes 1 TB of storage. Plus is 200 GB at $10.99/month and adds folders. Free is 1 GB.

Question 7

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If PixelShare isn't right for you, contact us within 30 days of your first payment for a full refund.

Question 8

Do you offer discounts for teams or studios?

Accepted Answer

Team and studio plans are on our roadmap! For now, each team member would need their own account. If you have specific needs, reach out to support@pixelshare.app and we'll see how we can help.

Custom domain mapping is coming soon to Pro accounts.

Question 10

Deliver, on Pro, sends them a copy of the gallery. They accept it into their own account. A free account includes 1 GB. If they need more room they can upgrade to Plus (200 GB, $10.99/month) or Pro (1 TB, $18.99/month).

Question 12

What if my client wants to view photos online forever?

Accepted Answer

They can keep a published gallery on a profile people follow, or you can Deliver them a copy on Pro. Their own account starts at 1 GB free. Plus is 200 GB for $10.99/month. Pro is 1 TB for $18.99/month and includes Deliver.

Question 13

What if my client wants to view videos online forever?

Accepted Answer

They can keep the gallery on a profile, or you can Deliver them a copy on Pro. Their account starts at 1 GB free. Plus is 200 GB for $10.99/month. Pro is 1 TB for $18.99/month.

Question 14

I need client proofing and favorites selection.

Accepted Answer

People can like and comment on a gallery. There is no favorites-selection or proofing workflow. On Pro, Deliver sends someone a copy they accept into their own account.

Question 15

Do you have print sales or e-commerce?

Accepted Answer

No, and here's why: after extensive research and testing, we found that post-delivery print shops rarely generate significant revenue for photographers. The best time to generate sales is by offering direct add-ons to your photography packages — that's your primary point of sale with significantly higher conversion odds. Post-delivery print sales simply can't compete with the momentum of the initial booking.

Question 16

What about mobile apps for clients?

Accepted Answer

PixelShare is a website. It works in a phone browser.

Question 17

How is this different from WeTransfer or Dropbox?

Accepted Answer

PixelShare is a gallery, not a file-transfer link. You publish a gallery or keep it private, invite viewers, and on Pro you can Deliver a copy. Free is 1 GB. Plus is 200 GB and folders. Pro is 1 TB and Deliver.

Question 18

What video formats do you support?

Accepted Answer

We support virtually all video formats including ProRes, H.264, H.265/HEVC, DNxHD, RAW formats (RED, BRAW, ProRes RAW), MOV, MP4, MKV, AVI, and more. For playback in galleries, we transcode to H.264 for web viewing while preserving your original files for download. Clients always get the exact files you uploaded.

Question 19

I need client review and approval workflows.

Accepted Answer

People can comment on a gallery. There is no timestamped review or approval workflow. On Pro, Deliver sends a copy of the finished gallery.

Question 20

Can I deliver project files (Premiere, DaVinci, Final Cut)?

Accepted Answer

Put the finished film in a gallery. On Pro, Deliver sends that person a copy they accept into their own account. PixelShare is for photos and video, not a separate transfer tool for project archives.

Question 21

What about 4K, 6K, or 8K footage?

Accepted Answer

Fully supported! We don't compress or re-encode your uploads. Your 4K, 6K, or 8K files are stored at full resolution and delivered exactly as uploaded. For web preview, we generate a compressed version, but downloads are always the original quality.

Question 22

Can I send my clients a physical USB backup?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Keeps ships a USB drive loaded with your client's gallery straight to their door. You upload once; we copy, package, and mail it. No bulk drive orders, no inventory, no trip to the post office. See the USB delivery service for photographers →

Question 23

How large can my files be?

Accepted Answer

Storage depends on the plan. Free is 1 GB. Plus is 200 GB. Pro is 1 TB. Photos and video stay in a gallery. There is no separate file-transfer product.

Question 24

Does my client need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

Opening a gallery means signing in. A public gallery can be previewed from the link. A private gallery needs an invite they accept on that account.

Question 25

How long are files available for download?

Accepted Answer

A gallery stays up until you delete it or make it private. Deliver, on Pro, gives someone a copy in their own account. That copy is not a 7-day link.

Question 26

Is it free?

Can I track when my client downloads the file?

Accepted Answer

When you Deliver a gallery, they get an email and a request in Activity. You can see whether they accepted. There is no separate download-page tracker.

Question 29

Question 36

Do I have to buy USBs in bulk?

Accepted Answer

No. Order one Keep at a time, whenever a client is ready — there's no minimum order size and nothing to keep in inventory between shoots.

Question 37

Does my client need a PixelShare account for a Keep?

Accepted Answer

No. At checkout, choose "a gift" and enter your client's shipping address instead of your own. They'll get a notification when it ships — no account required on their end.

Question 38

How do I get my client's gallery to you?

Accepted Answer

After you order, you'll get a simple upload page. Upload the photos and videos from that client's shoot, and we take it from there.
